This season the garden gets just a little bit more diverse.

It’s spring again and green is returning to the streets and sidewalks of Brooklyn. Especially for space-deprived New Yorkers, community gardening is a great way to exercise your green thumb and grow healthy food & colorful flowers. Open hours at our three gardens start soon, so there’s never been a better time to get involved.
To join in, please contact the coordinator for the garden nearest you:

Spring is back and the garden is turning green again! It’s a great time to get involved in your local Fort Greene community garden. Please join garden volunteers and members for a work day to clear away the winter detritus and prepare this great green space for the season.

It’s the Pacific Street Bears annual fundraiser for the garden! Come to the garden at Flatbush and Pacific from 10am on for a variety of yummy baked goods and plants for your Mom’s or your own garden or apartment. We’ll have a selection of gift plants, annuals, herbs, and select perennials dug from our garden, so come on out and support your local community garden! See you there!
