With increased day light and balmier climes, the trees know it’s time to wake up.
And we need them! Did you know, according to Trust for Public Land, that a single mature tree can absorb up to 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per annum? That’s enough oxygen for two people!
Not to mention how various critters rely on the trees’ largess and generosity: Birds raising their hatchlings, squirrels hiding their nuts, humans basking in some shade at the height of a heat wave. Not to mention a Crow decorating for a garden BBQ!
And what a show they put on for us!
Now if we can just get people to bring their pups to pee elsewhere!
